Invitation for the Ballet Namma Thaya Kathe

Namo Ramana

Mother takes care of a child so beautifully that we never feel that she is taking care of us even in a difficult situation. Even if she is in difficulty, she cares for the child. If this is the case with a human mother, what about mother of animals or birds which do not have ego? What about our Mother Earth who bears so much of pain which man gives to her? Does she not bear whatever we do? We dig her, walk on her, drive heavy vehicles on her, poke her, do so many things to her:-( But she is the one from whom we learn patience. Whatever we do she is patient and never gets angry. Still we keep hurting her. But we also see the consequences of the hurt we cause to her. We see Earthquakes, tsunamis, drought, floods so many other natural disasters. How does all this occur? It the natural imbalance for which we(humans) are the cause.

We, Ramana Maharshi Centre for Learning would like to celebtrate our "Precious Mother Earth Day" on the day when Cow Lakshmi, Mother of Ramanasramam after Mother of Azhagammal. She used to be the one who fed everyone at Asram. June 18th, 1948 was the day when Bhagavan Ramana gave liberation to Cow Lakshmi.

So it is apt for us to celebrate the day by thanking Mother earth as well as Cow Lakshmi.
